What this is
A five-week technical internship programme. Four to five live hours every week — three sessions of ninety minutes, on alternate days — and one take-home assignment a week worth about three hours of your own time.
Nothing is taught from slides you cannot run. Every idea is demonstrated live in a terminal, then you do the same thing on your own machine, in the same hour. The goal is that you can do the work — not that you can describe it.
How a week runs
| Slot | Length | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Session 1 | 90 min live | One topic, taught hands-on in the tool itself. |
| Session 2 | 90 min live | A second topic that builds on the first. The week's assignment is briefed at the end. |
| Session 3 | 90 min live | A clinic. We go through last week's submissions, the common mistakes, and the reference solution. In Week 1 this is a setup clinic instead, and it runs first. |
| Take-home | ~3 hours | You work on it alone and submit before the next clinic. |
Reading goes out before and after every session. The programme assumes you do it, and the assignment scores make it obvious who did.
The five weeks
| Week | Topic | Assignment |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Linux fundamentals, shell scripting and Git | Work in progress — published shortly |
| 02 | Python automation and API contracts | A Python CLI that calls a REST API and survives failure |
| 03 | CI/CD, artifacts and containers | Put your tool behind a pipeline. Break it on purpose, then fix it |
| 04 | SQL and observability | A query set, then read a dashboard and say what it is telling you |
| 05 | AWS core services, IaC and architecture patterns | The final assignment, covering the whole programme |
Who is teaching this
Raji — AI Engineer at Studio Typo, a creative technology studio working in AI, web and 3D. Focus: agentic systems and infrastructure.
Shipped work includes Klydo (AI content generation for quick-commerce marketing), Ampere Hour (a 3D digital twin monitoring grid-scale battery storage) and Roqit (a data platform for fleet management and carbon tracking).
I am 22, and I still remember what it felt like to stare at a blank terminal with no idea what to type. If that is you, nothing here assumes otherwise.
